1916 Buffalo Nickel PMD or Bizarre Cud?

    Here’s an odd one I just found. Is this some sort of mega-cud or is this added metal (ala solder). It looks like there is a small cud near the rim but the in use stuff is just bizarre.

    1st…. Definitely NOT a cud. A cud is at the rim of the coin.

    2nd… could a be a die break, but it’s so circulated it’s hard to tell. I’m also assuming you mean the mess at the legs and not the heavy damage on the back of the buffalo.

    It was probably soldered to something. It's not an error.
