1916 Buffalo Double Die Obverse At Ebay.

HELLO i have this coin,

I will like to someone help me trough, Grading it by eye.
or telling me what GRADE CAN GET by Pcgs or Anacs.

I haved at Usa right now, Atlanta for be more specific, im now im lucky to have it.
But i will like to see it.

I have it right now at Ebay.

Funny....That coin looks awful familiar...havnt we seen it before?

 

Are you certain it is genuine? If so, it should grade about VF30. And be worth about $10,000.

 

If it's genuine, it would be worth far more once it's been slabbed. That would be well worth the investment.

 

It is too late for slabbing. It is listed on eBay - - 1916 - -

 

reserve is not met... he could (and shopuld IMHO) cancel the auction and send the coin out to be Authenticated!!!

Hello, yes is listed at Ebay, but i put the notice that I TAKE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION.

I just be trowing $80 in listing to analize the market for this coin.

Did you recommend me to Grade it ?. at Collector Universe a person write me this:

Looks like EF-45 details.
The obverse looks very slightly porous with some light polishing over that.
(Was like a veteran simbol user) What did you think ?.

Did you recommend me Slabbed ?. i haved that problem due i have the Coin at ATLANTA GEORGIA.
But i dont know how to send the Coin to PCGS evading that can be Lost ... or change it ?.
I do not want to think but, But i want to care about this coin .

PCGS probably deals with millions of dollars worht of coins daily.

The Postal service delivers billions pieces of mail daily.

Odds of losing an insured registered letter sent by next day air? slim.

Chances of PCGS changing out your coin? Slimmer

 

I'd get it authenticated before selling

 

WOW - A few worn type coins for sale & then this BIG DOG ? Convienietly located in Atlanta (so you feel safe) while every other item comes from Peru ?

If it smells like a fish & flops like a fish ......

IMHO, I believe that the coin will net grade at AU-55 to AU-58! The Obverse definitely has some slight wear and rub but the Reverse looks to be Mint State. You definitely need to send the coin in for certification and grading and if it comes back authentic, then you should consign the coin to Heritage.

This coin is at best VF30 the lighting you used in the pictures on this thread hide a lot of the wear visiable in other pictures you have posted elsewhere. Note the dark lighting with a black background so the coin appears golden and toned. It is a common way to make a coin appear better than it is. In other pictures of this coin, wear is very evident.

I have a problem with the listing, I see to much fraud these days to just accept at face value anything you say. I see that you are new to ebay, sell a couple common low dollar items, (one of which you were neg'ed on as a fraudster, and then bring out the "big dog" it is a fraudulent tactic that has been used since the inception of ebay. I'm going to be point blank honest: I think you are a fraud. I think you are coming into this forum and ebay playing dumb, putting on the fake " I don't know good English, I'm clueless routine" in hopes of gaining a couple friends and maybe one of them will get suckered into the purchase. I hope you prove me wrong, but at this point I HIGHLY suspect fraud and my warning to others to avoid you and your auctions stands.

If my post here is considered by some to be too harsh, I do apoligize... Like our president, I believe in pre-emptive strikes, nukes or no nukes we're all better off without Sadam Hussein , As for you: Fraud or No Fraud, we can live without the risk of you possibly taking advantage of another collector...

If this is AU then I have a whole collection of coins that just doubled in price! Maybe my VF grade I stated earlier is a little low as it does have full horn details so it may slide up to XF.... But AU... naw... lol... but then again, thats just my opinion, you are entitled to yours as well.
