    Hello, fellow collectors,

I bought this coin at a coin shop in Florida for $10, and later realized that it could be a two feather buffalo nickel because the feather immediately to the left of the neck was missing! I think this coin is around VF30-XF40, which would make it worth $300-400 based on the PCGS Price Guide. Please look at it closely and tell me if it really is the real deal, or not! editrd Thanks for any help you can give and remember to share it with anyone you think could help me! Not trying to discourage you. If you use upload file and post the photos in full size it is much easier for us to see.

I am not a nickel collector so I can't answer your question. Sorry

Try clicking on a photo in the OP. They will enlarge in another screen. At least they do on my comp.

@MontCollector Yes, it pops open another screen, and the photos get slightly larger.
Thumbnails can even be magnified, these can't unless you save them to your computer.

There are many variations of the two feathers depending on the severity of the die polishing.

I'd like to see a comparison photo with the 3rd feather.

I'm sorry, but what am I missing here? OP says he bought the coin for $10 then says it's listed on eBay. Is this a hype or what?

The OP has 2 different coins pictured. The one in the OP is a 1915 and the other one is dateless.

Sorry for the confusion. I have two two feather buffaloes that I just wanted you guys to give me your thoughts on. edited The second one by the way is a 1918. You can faintly see the 1 and the 8 in the second picture of the three. Thanks for your feedback!

Let me get this: You’re asking someone to verify your diagnostics of the coin while you’re offering it on eBay. If we agree with you, you’re giving us first shot to buy it.

If it isn’t gelling, it ain’t Jello. And this sure isn’t gelling. And it ain’t the first time recently that this approach has been used.
