1915 D Barber Grade opinions

    I've been trying to work on my grading of U.S coins, other then Morgans. I put this one at VF20, what do you guys think?

    VF 20 I don't know if I would go that far honestly.. Nice coin.. I like it.

    It looks like corrosion on the reverse.:bigeyes: Otherwise I would grade it as a VF. But if that is corrosion that would hurt it.:eek:

    I would say VF-20 also and it just looks dirty to me - could be wrong.

    VF-20 looks spot on to me.

    I have no problems with the VF opinion.
    But the boys at the TPGs might have heartburn over the dark toning.
    They are often of the the opinion that something may be hidden.

    I had an 1894 Morgan body bagged for that reason.
    The couldn't see anything wrong BUT they also couldn't see the surfaces.
    So, no opinion.
