Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the '15 is about VF and the '16 XF. As for the cleaning, it's hard to say. I see the darkness clinging to the various elements but in hand there's plenty of luster.
The cleaning is hard to say as we only have photos to look at you have the coins in hand. The reason I say it might have been cleaned is this, it could be an old cleaning and has since retoned. There is wear, and yet, the high spots (The stars in the centers) seem very shiny. That's why I thought they may have been cleaned. These coins are 100 years old, and it is hard to say but it is possible that someone may have cleaned them some time in the last 100 years.
The coins are from an old collection and have been in envelopes for roughly the last 40 years. Cleaning could have taken place along time ago though.
