1914? Shih Kai Silver Yuan Dollar. translation?

    Is this a 1914 dated coin? Also is there a mint mark anywhere to be found? Thanks.

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

    It is Year 3 (1914) as indicated by the second character of three horizontal bars above the head, but there are 5 varieties and I can't tell which one it is. See Krause "Republic of China / Empire" Y-329 through Y-329.4, they are listed together. Most of the differences pertain to type of reeding.
