IMG_8494.jpeg IMG_8495.jpeg IMG_8496.jpeg What grade would you guys give this beauty? Also don’t know if this would be considered red brown or brown? It’s a gorgeous coin and I’m wondering if it’d be worth it to send it off?

It's difficult to guess a grade from your photos. It does look a passable MS 63/64. I'm always leery about color from photos. I can't tell if it has been cleaned. I've been burned too many times buying coins online using seller photos; probably half turned out to be cleaned once I get them in hand.

AU-Details Cleaned, the color is sadly not original. It has some visible wear, most noticeably on Lincoln's cheekbone and ear. It still is a Simi-key so its a nice coin to have.

Surface is way too granular on that. Looks like it was sandblasted clean and allowed to re-tone. Sometime take an old cent and wire wheel it. You can get it as shiny as new but with obvious interuptions where the wheel stops. Sometimes things are purposely re-toned to hide the previous work but a grader or serious collector won't be fooled.

Looks cleaned to me but retoining nicely. More brown than red but it does have some red areas.

I recommend a solid background when taking photos. Pick the right color that promotes the proper toning rather than one that can play tricks.

I think from the photos that it would earn a Brown designation. And like the others, it’s difficult to establish grade from the photos. Surface does appear to be grainy but perhaps just how the camera caught the image.

    Still, a nice looking LWC!
