1912 Barber Half. It is ( I guess Fine shape ). My pic. are not that good. Let me know what you guys think. What grade would you say? What kind of value? Thanks for looking. In God We Trust looks good. It is a bad pic and you really cant see it here.
It is a 1912-D, not 1912 (but that makes no difference as far as value). It is worth somewhere between melt (about $12.90 today) and $20 or so.
Let me ask a crazy ? here. Please dont laugh at the new guy. LOL. But how high does this scale go??? VG 10 and then fine or what? is there a good site were i can find this info?
It starts at a cull, which would be 1 I guess, and goes to MS/PF-70. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheldon_coin_grading_scale EDIT: I see that wiki article is quite poor, just has the scale on it. But google the Sheldon scale and you'll find a plethora of info, I'm sure.
DJ, check out this. Its a photograder by PCGS. It will show you all the grades. http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/
Cull would be 0, Poor would be 1, fair would be 2, about good would be 3, good would be 4, then up... Took me some time to get it all down, but yeah, you can either use photograde to get an idea of what your coins would grade assuming they don't have any issues, or you could google the sheldon scale to get a more detailed explanation.
