1912 $5 Gold Coin

    Here is #1 of my set that I will try to post for you guys to look at. Not much to say other than it sat in an envelope for 70+yrs, found in an envelope from 1944 with 2 US War Bonds. 1912front.jpg 1912back.jpg

    Well I certainly have something to say about it It's beautiful! I love the design and have it on my list of "If I had the money" coins.

    :D Thanks! That is the scary part. Ebay tends to have these in the 450-750 ballpark, and last week one sold for $1100, that had a dent along one of the stars. Based on the lack of responses, either this is scary good, or to good to be true.

    Having looked at this again, I'm now wondering, can this be an error coin? Havent really seen any others that look like this. No clue!
