Here is #1 of my set that I will try to post for you guys to look at. Not much to say other than it sat in an envelope for 70+yrs, found in an envelope from 1944 with 2 US War Bonds.
Well I certainly have something to say about it It's beautiful! I love the design and have it on my list of "If I had the money" coins.
Thanks! That is the scary part. Ebay tends to have these in the 450-750 ballpark, and last week one sold for $1100, that had a dent along one of the stars. Based on the lack of responses, either this is scary good, or to good to be true.
Nice coin! Based on Photograde http://www.pcgs.com/Photograde/# ,I would call it AU, due to wear on the band (Indian gold is the hardest coin to grade, so don't take my word for it). Numismedia http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/prices/5ind/pricesgd.shtml Puts that at somewhat over $500. The best way to know is to go to the coin show & get multiple offers.
Having looked at this again, I'm now wondering, can this be an error coin? Havent really seen any others that look like this. No clue!
