I would say that your coin is an Improper Alloy Mix. "Woody" is a cute name some use to describe a coin that looks a certain way, A term that is open to opinion. And that is just mine, also.

That is a very nice cent the toning reminds me of"Birds Eye Maple". Does it have any on the reverse?

 

I like it but I think you should give a new name; "Tiger Skin".
