I'm new 2, so don't rely only on my posts. IMO start with soak in distilled water, no rubbing with anything!

VF35 and F-15. The second one should be treated with Acetone, to remove the green stuff. The Green stuff will only continue to corrode the coin if not removed.

Hello: I was wondering will it hurt the value of the coin if I dip it in acetone? because it seems that sometimes the coins are not gradable if cleaned.

In my opinion the second coin will only be graded by NCS and ANACs - in my opinion dipping the coin in acetone will not hurt it any worse than it is. Still the coin would be only be graded by the two companies I mentioned. I am not sure what acetone will do to the color of the coin, but IMO it can not hurt it any worse.

Gotta watch the acetone. If you don't dip it right (soak it too long) you could do some damage. Make sure that after the coin is dipped you rinse it with distilled water.

The first I think is XF45. The second is too badly corroded to grade. And, no, acetone will do nothing for it. Not only is it too far gone but acetone will not affect corrosion. It will remove pvc and stop the damage from progressing, but will not even affect the damage done by the PVC.

Not in the normal sense, but they will assign a details grade and mention the problem.
