1910 Matte Proof????

    I guest I had this 1910 16 or 17 year a parent of a player on a Baseball team I coached gave a jar of wheat's this was in it.I not sure if a Matte proof manly due the fact it is circulated but sure has the look.maybe it in some cloth for it just has texture look 16X lop

    The "1910" part is right, but not the "proof" part.

    Hi Jello,

    The Rims are one of the most distinctive indicator for me, They should be flat and sharp edged all around, with a perpendicular edge. This doesn't eliminate counterfeits of course. I had poste this is the other matte thread and still on the clipboard, so I will post it here also :)

    But couldn't the sharp edge of the rim have been worn down by circulation ?

    No part of the 1910 cent pictured resembles a proof. (See Kevin Flynn's new book on Matte Proof Lincoln Cents, for detailed information.)

    thank for the help

    I know that in hand feel surface obv & rev are both have textured like a matte poof.I know the camera will not pick that up.only with a 5-10x lop
