What is the Mark exchange rate with the dollar? I have some German coins from when my Father was stationed in Germany. I wouldn't sell or trade them, but it would be nice to know their value.

They use the euro now so I don't think you can exchange. A mark was the size of a quarter so I'd guess historically that was about the value.

The Exchange Rate until 1914 was 1 Dollar= 4 Mark and 20 Pfennige

So the 5 Dollar Gold piece was a little bit heavier than a 20 Mark piece.
