I bought an album a couple of days ago with wheaties that I needed for my collection. I was looking at the 1909 and noticed a small rim cud under the right ear stem on the bottom. It does not flow into the coin. I've seen a lot of 09 cuds but they are actual cuds flowing into the rim. This one is on the rim itself. I couldn't find anything on it. Not sure how rare these are or if are even collectible but the wheatie itself is in EF-AU condition. Info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I also found a weakly struck 1913 with a nice line of lamination across the coin on the reverse. This book is from 1909-1940 and I can tell that these coins have been in this book for some time now. I know that error coins aren't as popular as they used to be but I've just begun examining the pieces in it and am happy to find something different even though I don't know if I'd call lamination an error.
Really wouldn't add any value to it maybe if someone is putting together a error book but at most an extra $1 or 2 I have sold similar for around $2-5
Funny thing I am looking threw some pennies and just found this on a 1983 haha your post gave me some good luck
Never know. You might end up with a 22 (No D) by the end of the night! Good luck and good huntin'. Thanks for the help!
