1909 vdb question

    No, it does not have the details a matte proof would have.

    The dot between the D and B appears to be closer to the D. The proof has the dot centered between the two letters. The rims are also rounded. The proof rims are sharp and square inside and out.     Need a better close up photo of the VDB in the OP to see if it is even real.

    these are the sellers photos and if I try to enlarge them they get grainy. I do have confidence in the auction house where its listed but the bid is higher than I'm willing to go. Thanks anyway.
