1909 S VDB... guess the grade.

    Sorry about the crummy photos. This coin was a gift to my sick father. I want to have it professionally graded but thought I would get som CT input on what you guys think it would grade at before I took it in.

    I would go for VF25.

    Sorry about the loss of your father. As far as grading it send it to ANACS. Need a better pic, but the mintmark looks a little funny to me.

    My father is still alive he is just very sick. He needs a heart transplant. I'll work on a better picture. I'm new to coin collecting and would also like advise on where to send the coin to have it professionally graded. Thanks for the input everyone!

    Not sure if I see corrosion in the letters in "in god we trust" However let it be. A close up of the S mintmark would be helpful. There is a die chip in the "S" mintmark that helps determine authentic 1909 S VDB's

    Looks ok to me, cleaned with spots removed. Die #2 obverse, VF-20

    That looks a lot like my 1909-s vdb that came back vf20 details cleaned from anacs. At work so I can't post a picture. Tough coin in a pretty good grade. Very sorry about your father.
