    Yes, the series ran from 1859 to 1909. They made both types of cents in 1909.

    I didnt know that are these worth anything? I see different prices on Ebay.

    Of course they are, or can, be worth something, but there are many factors that must be considered, so do as you would with most any other coin.

    this is a coin collecting site most people hear have heard of the indian head cent your would probably sell in the 3-4 dollar range one ebay but if it actually is more au or ms br it would bring well over 10 dollars your images are very hard to make out !

    1909 is a slightly better year with my outdated grey sheet saying $9.00 for good. I would estimate yours worth around $15\20 in a retail setting.

    There were also 1909 Indian Head Cents made in San Francisco, which are worth considerably more, due to the low mintage. Yours does not have the "s" mintmark on the reverse, therefore yours was minted in Philadelphia.

    I think the coin pictured above is a solid XF coin, maybe AU. You can compare the condition of your coin to PCGS photograde for grading purposes.

    like the color-chocolate brown-nice-Pcgs photograde is the way to go
