1908C sovereign

    Here are some pictures of the extremely rare 1908C sovereign, minted at Ottawa with a mintage of 633 (or 636, depending on source).

    Do I correctly assume that is your coin Andy ? Quite a piece to have in your collection if it is :thumb:

    Yes it is! It's not quite as fancy as the SP64s or SP65s that I have seen at auction over the years, but it is still a marvellous coin! Marsh writes a whole page about this year/mintmark, and it is quite interesting. He even postulates that a certain number of circulation strikes were minted (very few) in addition to the well-documented Specimen coins.
