1908 V Nickel lamination, or... something?

  1. Might be a lamination, wear. There is a small portion of the reverse chipped out or missing. I think its filled with dirt. Thanks! Dog hair in my keyboard :mad:

    It looks to me like it was dipped in an acid.

    I agree, that grainy reverse kills the coin value. Someone tried to clean it,
    but only ruined it further.

    It has definetely been put in acid, someone did it for fun likely. Ive got a half dollar kennedy that has the same thing I found CRHing
