I'm torn between sending this coin in as it doesn't make much sense if it comes back as less than an AU50. Would you submit this coin knowing you have to pay $30 to have it graded?
So say youre in it $100 and if it gets a 50 (i think it will get higher) then youll be breaking about even. So i think that it would be worth it to send it in! I personally would rather have a coin slabbed then in a 2x2
It certainly seems to have AU details, but I can't definitively tell if there's any luster left (looks like maybe some). The only real questions then are if it's been cleaned or not, and what the luster is like. I can't tell from the pictures; it could go either way based on those images. If you have confidence that it's not cleaned, Numismedia FMV lists it at 150 in AU50 and 45 in XF40, so, if you're 70 into it before grading fees, you'd probably come out even or a little ahead compared to buying it pre-slabbed at retail, assuming it comes back at least 45.
Nice dime love the color a lot of meat on that one. I would send it into ANACS on a special see how it fairs on a cheaper grading service. Then make a decision if you think you can get a grade on par or better . I would of pulled the trigger on the price you paid for sure
Sending a patch out tomorrow and if I mailed it to ANACS it'd probably be about the same as NGC with a group.
