I picked this 1908 cent out of a dealer's junk bucket if IH's last weekend at a coin show. The reverse seems to show strong doubling mostly on the left side of the wreath. I can't find it in the Cherry Pickers Guide or a quick search on Google. Does this look like a doubled die or machine doubling?
I think that's machine doubling. It looks too flat to be a true doubled die. I may be wrong though, so hopefully someone else will chime in.
Looks like machine doubling. I flipped through Rick Snow's attribution guide looking for a DDR and he mentions nothing about one. It is still a good example of machine doubling, but sorry, I don't think it is a true DD.
Well, that's sad but I come here for honest opinions and I thank you for taking the time to look and let me know what you think.
