Here is the second of two Indian Head Cents that my wife found in the register. Let me know what you think -James
Hello James, I think this would grade G4, and at most $1-$2 for it. I have to say the story is amazing, found in the register, awesome. I once found 6 rolls of heavily worn steel pennies. Yup they came home with me that night Regards, Stan
I have a dealer that sells them for like 6 for 5 dollars, most if not all are G8 and probably all commons, even if they are would it be worth buying?
Thanks for the interest. Regarding the story... My wife took a job as a cashier. I reminded her to keep a look out for silver and other coins. Since she has become the "Chief Researcher", lol, for the CoinMobile iPhone app, she can quickly pick out valuable coins. These were her first finds. I was so excited when she showed them to me.. Woot !!
thats amazing, any other tips for gettin coins? i am asking my family, if they have older coins. thats about it
Mukremin, As far as getting coins, try what some of us do. Roll searching. Go to your local bank and ask for rolls of coins. You would be amazed at what you could find! Shoewrecky, For 5-6 a piece you should be able to get better grades. I would say check other shops, and check on line as i am sure you can find a wide variety of dealers with great prices. Regards, Stan
As for the 1907...check for a RPD Re Punched Date. 1907 has ALOT of them but will help to the value a little more.
Nice find for almost free. I'd say G-6 on a good day. Keep on looking because more and more people are cashing in, spending, their saved coins, now that time are tougher. Bruce
