Picked this up today when I was buying scrap silver and noticed that there are 2 types in 1906. I am wondering if its a small crown only because it looks smaller than some other quarters that I compared it to. Maybe it only seems small because the tips of the leaves on each side are worn down. They others I've been looking at are a 1918 and a 1919 which are in in pretty good shape .

This is the best picture I could get with my camera not sure if its good enough to tell by.

That one is so hard to tell. I saw one at a show this spring that the dealer was wondering about. But not having the large crown and small crown side by side it was too difficult to give a definite yes or no.

Wait for Snaz to show up. He might have some clues you could go by.

For the other members, the 1906 large crown has a value in VG-8 of $15 but the 1906 small crown has a value in VG-8 of $3,000!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Good luck!

The obverse is pretty worn there is no detail on his face his ear is gone so maybe its an AG-3 coin overall .

I know very little about grading foreign coins so maybe that's way off. I have some other canadian quarters from that era and it seems like the reverse sides hold up a little better for the most part.
