1904 German Funf Mark

    Im looking to get some information on this and maybe a value, but I dont believe it is very much, just got it from a good friend.

    That's a beautiful note that you have. The The note is from the German Empire, it is a Imperial Treasury Note. This note circulated from April 1906 until June 1925.
    Alexander Zick designed the note for Germany. The subject on the face of the note is Germania and Youth. The back shows a Dragon and Treasure. The note comes
    in a 6 or 7 digit variety but the price is about the same. Good .50 Fine 3.50 Extra Fine 14.00.

    That dragon was apparently modeled after Fafnir or Fafner of Nibelung fame, by the way. Fafnir guards the Nibelung treasure, particularly the ring.
