The lips appear to be normal for the amount of wear. The same is true for the area between the bridge of the nose and her eyelid. Ordinarily, you wouldn't notice it, but now, it looks like a rather large gouge or something of that nature. Chris
Hi Chris; It's weird because THE WEAR it self is not a lot. The black spot is because is dirty. But the coin is in good, good, good conditions.
As a person who collects MS Morgans, the wear to me is substantial, and it would probably grade F12, at best. Chris
look at all the dents and dings in the surface of this dollar. It's more than likely that something hit the lady in the mouth. silver is soft like copper and a light hit from something will put a ding in it.
The rooster o "perica" mouth, it's coming in all Morgan dollars. But no that much. Maybe that's happen for that reason. THE SILVER IS SOFT. That other Morgan is from different year.
