Full pictures! What's so difficult about giving a full picture of the Obverse and Reverse? Like this.. It's one of my metal detected finds.
Some of these scopes aren't capable of doing full size photos. Hey, Arbie if that is the case then figure out how to attach a photo taken from your cell phone.
I think that this is the problem. Scopes are not capable of taking a full shot of a dime, never mind anything larger. I've noticed that more-and-more folks post multiple shots just to provide the progressive view of a coin. But it doesn't always work...in fact...often misses the point. Although less convenient, members will need to use multiple methods to produce useful shots.
sorry, yes my scope is not able to do full pictures of the coin. But, I guess every time i post in here i would have to do it from my cell phone
Common date I would grade it VF details maybe a few bucks but that green isn't a good sign, your better off keeping it.
This was probably a liberated coin, and maybe because of the verdigris by the shield. Some collectors/dealers will spend a problem coin since they aren't likely to sell this off later. I've found a number of these during CRH events. But this can be a lucky break for another collector. The best thing to do with this coin is to conserve it the best you can before putting it back into a flip. This will stabilize it a bit. And if you have VerdiCare, putting that onto the coin will help preserve it going forward. Certainly, a fun find. Feather and shield details are very good. LIBERTY is full. Ribbon worn and other signs of circulation wear. It's an XF coin, Details.
If using a scope all you have to do is set on a higher object to get the full coin. If needed, you can then zoom in or crop the picture! I do this a lot!!!
And let's not forget https://www.remove.bg for removing backgrounds and leaving just the coin. It's free.
Nice find, Arbie. And that's the way you post pictures here unless you're trying to zero-in on an area of concern. Those are very good pictures. Both sides, just like that. Well done.
The condition isn’t all that great either. It’s worn from circulation. The fifth photo shows a spot of corrosion. It’s also a common date. An LCS would probably have this coin in a bargain bin for $1.00 or under. It’s nothing I would put in a coin folder, especially with corrosion. PS. Your second set of photos are much better.
