1902 Peruvian Una Libra Gold coin value PICS Inside

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what my gold coin is worth? It was given to me by a collector. I don't know much about the coin but it seems to be in good condition for its age.

Its worth $295 per numismaster.com, 0.971 fineness, total Apx Gold Wgt 0.2355 oz.

 

What would be the best way to sell this coin? Do you think I would get more for it if I sold it on Ebay?

 

There's a guy on ebay from Spain that has one for sale now witha buy-it-now of $375, which I think is too high. There are no completed listings on ebay so I have no idea of prior performance. The only drawback I could see to selling it on ebay is someone looking for that coin specifically seems slightly unlikely as there is only one for sale and no recent sales at all. It seems to me that your best bet would be an auction on ebay with a reserve, find a collector individually that is interested, or take it to a dealer. If you have some time to invest in placing it, I would go with a sale to an individual that specializes in collecting Peruvian coins or foreign gold.
