Here's a 1902 P Morgan dollar from my collection. It's polished, but it appears there might be a double A in states. Am I right, or is it just the lighting? I promise to get better pictures of all my dollars when I get back home in March.

    It looks like machine doubling.

I'm curious to know why your photos are different sizes. When I click on the obverse, I get a decent enlargement to view, but not so for the reverse.

I'm not sure why. It could be because of my zooming in and out of the pictures. Not really an expert at paintshopt pro, which is what I use for my pictures.

There is a software program available on the net called Photoscape, and it is free. I haven't tried it, but I've read here that it is pretty good.

This is a pretty common mint error--definitely not anything valuable. Looks overstruck to me.

Looks like the coin just took a hit to the top of the A in my honest opinion. I would think that machine doubling would show on more letters than just the one.
