I like it even though as you say it has been made into jewlery The design on the front is quite eye catching, I like the two figuers clasping hands over the Americas :thumb:

 

Yeah. Makes me wonder if this is where Chester Beach got his idea for the reverse of the Monroe Doctrine Centennial Half Dollar.

as for value, holed (for suspension) and excavated, the value is not very high, perhaps $5 to a bit more.

It is a very beautiful piece non-excavated/holed.
