19-- Capped Die Cent?

    Obverse Has Abe's silhouette, weird center and can only make out 19?? with a loupe. Reverse is missing some details. Is this caused by a capped die?

    That looks like either a machinist with too much time on his hands got a hold of it or it spent a long time in a commercial clothes dryer spinning around the drum. I can not imagine any way that could happen during the coining process.

    post mint damage, most likely a machinist or other person with grinding tools. This is not clothes dryer related as that would have affected both sides of the coin.

    Can you take a pic of that coin using a mirror so we can see both sides in one pic?
