Okay so I'm coin roll hunting and I find a 19 something 6 Lincoln cent weigh it it's 3.11 grams I can't see the third number I've been looking up the designers initials on the back to see when it changed transitional if you can tell me what FG this is I might be able to see what the date is or get closer to what it might be it weighs 3.1 grams so I don't want to throw it back yet

    Oh boy...
Considering the bad condition your Cent is in, it really doesn't matter what number it is..
Just get rid of it :yack:

I Bet it's a 1976. Obverse motto looks to far away from edge to be a 66.

In 1989 is the year that the mint changed the designer's initials. Prior to 1989 the vertical portion of the G had no serif. Looked like a stick. 1989 minted coins had a serif at the top of the vertical stroke of G.
