This is almost a re-post but with better pictures and more complete information about the silver certificates from my mother’s estate. I would greatly appreciate opinions on the value of these bills.

This 1899 Series Black Eagle is the nicest and in the best condition of the lot. It is signed by John Burke and Houston B. Teehee This dates the bill between March 1915 and Nov 1919. This was the dollar in use on my mother’s birthday and through World War I. I am particularly interested in the value of this bill because I would like to keep it and I need to be fair to my sisters.

This bill is signed by Frank White and William S. Elliot dating it between May of 1921 and January 1922. There is edge fraying and a pin hole near the upper left corner.

The estate also includes four 1923 series certificates. More, better and larger pictures of all six of these bills can be seen in my Flickr PhotoSet. Please check them out. I welcome any comments or corrections that you can add (here or there).

Your comments and opinions are welcome and requested. Any guidance on describing condition or recommendations about reserve price if these should go to an auction would be very helpful.

Not really a note guy but I think they are very attractive notes. Good luck with them.

Thanks. When I first joined coin talk I was told that this the only forum where one is permitted to ask What’s it worth? I did not want to violate any forum rules by asking over there or by double posting.

Post it in the paper forum, that is where the paper experts are. Very nice notes, especially that top one. Congrats.
