1899 S Morgan dollar; S over O?

    Just last night I was checking this one, The O under the S look very big and flat. What you think guys. I appreciate your opinion.

    If it's a mintmark over another you're talking about, an O under that S wouldn't be as big as what I think you're looking at. They were generally smaller than the S marks.

    Unless the 0 suffered a flat down, before the S was impressed. O may be the mint mark holder.

    What you are seeing are bad damage to the coin little dents hits that is giving that apperance , No it's not a OMM sorry I


    don't know for sure, but you may have some lamination peeling near the date as well as some die chips in the circles of the numnbers on the date, and it could be a vam anyway not sure the date looks kind of weird to me

    I don't know about that treas the area in red that I indicated looks more lika die break into the field which could be a vam but not to sure.


    I see alot of things wrong with this coin I will examine it further Carlos you may have a possible vam I have a question for you carlos is the scratch extending to the rim through the E can;t make that out?

    Sorry to answer until today, YES the line is extended to end out of the coin. And some how transfered to the oberse.
