The 1899 penny has some major differences, one is the color and the other is when you zoom in... Are these die breaks of any significance? Are they breaks at all? Got these as a gift from a very cool, fellow collector and coworker.

They look like scratches to me. Die breaks are raised on the surface of the coin. Minor die breaks don't usually add value because they are rather common.
Cracked planchet? Unless those cracks are raised. IDK what is going on with the quarter but something is. Ask Paddyman to identify it?
