1898 O VAM 4A Kimpton 12

    I was not sure about the toning when I bid , but I got her cheap for a MS-64
    Coin arrived today and the blue and wine toning is quite pretty in the light .

    Hmm . I'm not much of a Vam Guy. So can anyone help me understand what this is ....for educational purposes ? I'd like to learn .

    Popular clashed die variety. "In" and the second 't' from "trust" are transferred to the obverse, as is part of the mint mark. Part of the designer's initial M is transferred to the reverse. Pictures are here.
