1898 Larce Cent

    This one is tough. It is well worn and has had some Post Mint Damage (PMD). Is there enough there to identify the obverse without flipping it over? The two I come closest to are shown. Any opinions are welcome as is any explanation on how you arrived at your conclusion.

    In my opinion, it looks like the one on the right due to the faint trace of the y in liberty. On the left it is right next to the rim, while on the coin on the right and middle it is farther from the rim.

    There are no US 1898 Large cents. Canada had largies till 1901 I believe.

    If we are going to get technical, neither the U. S or Canada minted Larce cents.
