Hello everyone...calling all IHC variety specialists for this one. Just picked up a quite nice 1898 IHC - got it home and noticed that there is a noticeable die chip on the feathered headdress by the R in AMERICA. I'm curious if this is a recognized variety or if it is something a specialist would collect - or just another little die chip that makes it a bit more interesting but not worth causing a fuss over. Don't see it in the CPG, PCGS or NGC variety listings. I don't have my new coin imaged yet, but it is in the exact same location as this coin from the PCGS website: (their TrueView image)
