1897-P Morgan Sleeper?

    The numbers look right to me for the 1897-P to be a sleeper. Not no 1K Sleeper, but at least worth more than bullion! I'm usually picking up MS63 in the 35 dollar range...

    The mintage was low at just under 3 million, but there are a lot of surviving examples (even in MS). The Redfield Hoard, alone, had around 17,000 MS 1897-P's, and it seems like many were also paid out by the treasury in the 1960s. So, imo, I wouldn't really call it a sleeper coin.
