1896 Repunched Date Morgan

    I purchased this 1896 Morgan dollar quite some time ago. It has a repunched (one ) on the date. Does anyone have any idea what the VAM number might be?

    I agree. Looks like a VAM 5. Can't find an image online, but your photo matches the VAM 5 image in the VAM Book. The 6 should be doubled at the top outside.
