IMG_1969.jpeg IMG_1970.jpeg It seems there is a variety of this KM#6.3 (five pearls in the center of the crown). Any help appreciated

According to my British Commonwealth Coins, 3rd edition, the pearl variations occur only in the 1866 Hong-Kong 10 cts, depending on whether it was minted in London (5 pearls) or in the Hong-Kong mint (6 pearls), which operated in the period 1866-1868.

Apart from this variation, there are two standard issues, Type 1, 1866-1882 and the Heaton Mint H coins up to 1883H, and Type 2, 1883-1901 and the Heaton mint dates. The four differences between Type I and 2 are minimal, and since the type can be easiy identified by the date, there is no need to go specific details.

    The 1895 mintage of the .800 silver H-K 10 cts was 19,000,000.
