Found it in my dads draw..mint and shiny..looks like silver..and heavy with weied writing..anyone know anything interesting?
Photos would help! What do you mean by wierd writing? Is it in a foreign language? Latin, maybe? Chris
The wierd writing you are referring to is the unofficial motto of the US. It's Latin and means "out of many, one". Chris
I saw the photo on the other thread. You need to take a better photo of both sides of the coin with more light. Chris
IT's tough to examine the details with the small photo's . The coin looks " Polished " or harshly cleaned .
HAHA I called it... cleaned without even seeing photos... keywords were mint and shiny. MS65 Morgans just don't chill in dad's drawers. Still worth melt though, nice find.
Obviously better photos would be nice but based on the (terrible) photos provided the coin appears to have been either polished or very harshly cleaned. If that is the case the coin has been ruined and has no collector value and would be worth its silver content (aka melt value).
No collector value is a little harsh. Maybe no "investor value" may be appropriate, any coin is collectable! Steve
