1894 barber half die defect

    Scanned the coin, would have looked better using a digital camera i think.

    If you are referring to the cheek, it's not the die that caused that but it looks like PMD to me.

    As mentioned elsewhere, definitely not a die defect. IMO, it looks almost like a counterstamp. I saw at least four almost identical marks -- three on the cheek and one (or more) in the right obverse field.
