Help. i am trying to find out about my 1893-s barber dime in vf. i just noticed its got a s over s. very prominent. does anyone know anything about this error? whats it worth? how many? any info would be appreciated. thanks!
Hi kingtruth, and welcome. Actually, your coin would be considered a variety, rather than an error. Their are no price guides for Barber dime varieties, that I am aware of. Your best bet would be to find out if one exactly like your's had sold recently, and for how much. The only problem with that is, you would also have to find another collector who is willing to pay the same price for one. The 1893-S Barber dime RPM (repunched mintmark) is classified as Breen 3483.
