1893CC starts in Good at around $200.00. But you are going to have to do some pics without the capsule as it hiding too much. I do see a lot of bad scratches going on which is not going to help this any.

  4. yea I know I need a camra but don't know what kind to buy , is that even if I have it certified or just raw ?

With the damage I can see through the capsule it would probably be a losing $ proposition to have it certified. If you were to send it in for certification they might grade/might not but it would certainly come back with a "Details/Damage" on the label. At this point I cannot give a correct grade until we see the coin outside of the capsule. I used Good as a benchmark to start with. It might not grade that well or maybe better. It should probably be left raw. You can use a flat bed scanner also to take pics. Just enlarge the photo. They should come out fine because of the lack of luster.

It looks like G Details to me. Maybe a $100 - $150 coin depending on the buyer.

The heavy scratches on both sides really detract from the value. Without those scratches value would have been double.

Either way, it's a great piece of history! I always say that behind every scratch is a story... It's up to you to decide how important that story is!

  14. hey that's pretty good :doctor:, thanks for the input guys.

Not the best looker, she is scratched and damaged but she is still an 1893 CC.
