Hey all... First of all, thanks to everyone who has helped with advice on photographing coins. Wit a lot of patience and good advice it seems like I'm getting better with each picture. I got a small tripod from Walmart for a few bucks and took a few more snaps...this time of my 1982o Barber half. This forum and its members are the best!
Nice job with the photos. Looks like a decent 92-O also. That's one date on my want list and it just seems difficult to obtain a nice one.
Thanks! Lehigh, I owe you a personal thanks...a lot of the tips and advice I got were from your posts! I love your coins too!
You are certainly welcome my friend. Anytime you need help, all you gotta do is ask. Keep up the good work!
Nice picture. Just looking at Bowers Grading Coins Photogaphs book. Thinking, that looks like a grade of G-4 or G-6. Then it hit me, oh that picture in the book is the same as the coin you have there. The 1892 O. Funkie.
Good photos! And a beautiful half-dollar. I love worn Barbers for some reason. Either worn or in mint state. And keep up the good work!
Yeah, the Barbers are one of my faves, especially the halves. And I like the way they look when worn...I was thinking G4 on it. I'll take a nice G-F any day! I redid some of the walker half pics from a few days ago... much better than before, even when its in an airtite (the scratches are on the plastic). Thanks again all for the kind words and advice! I might just pass on a new camera for now and pick up a few new additions to the collection instead! :high5:
I need all the 1892 halves. Most of the ones I have seen do not have full reverse rims. However they are dealer graded at G-4. A couple of dealers told me that Barber halves can grade G-4 even with worn rims into the letters. Comments? So for anything decent you need to go up to a G-6 coin.
