I have an 1892 Morgan in about MS-63 maybe 64.

I am wondering if this is worth getting slabbed and if I should hold on to it.

    Thanks,

Well, its hard to say for sure without actually seeing the coin. However, the 1892 Morgan's value is condition sensitive, with it being common in low, circulated grades and much more valuable in higher grades. Certification would probably be a good idea for a coin that is so condition sensitive in relation to it value.

Additionally, there is quite a steep price increase from MS-63 to MS-64, so if the coin has a fair possibility of coming back 64, then it's certainly worth submitting.

If it were me, I would submit the Morgan.

So is this a key date Morgan? About how much would it be worth if I got it graded at, lets say, MS-63.

In MS-63, I think that would be worth like $400. Double that in MS-64.

I would get MS-70 if I sent it into SGS!:p

What company grades Morgans the best?

Slab that sucker. Who knows, maybe you'll be surprised with the grade you get.
