Thoughts? It appears to have the marking on the right of the S at the top and the bottom...but this one in completely full almost like a s/s/s vs an s/s...anyone seen this before...any idea on scarcity? The coin is very clean prob EF...Full LIBERTY, sandal/foot separation on front...etc... Thanks
How about a full picture of obverse and reverse so we can find the die marriage There is only one s/s/s is a F 101 which you can find on the site Books linked to which you would look under pictorial then 1890s
Here are some pics of the whole coin thanks for your help...I jsut have not seen one with the fully filled in S and the markers to the left of the S that indicatate a RPM or whateer you would call it... On second thought, I dont know that the photos do the condition of the coin justice...could be worse than EF, but it has great eye appeal in your hand... Please let me know what you all think. I really appreciate it!
lower right looks like it might have a bit of doubling, but it definitely has the F reverse, with remnants of an S to the right of the actual S - look at the top pic from this chain and the F back on the link below....look to the right of the S http://www.seateddimevarieties.com/date_mintmark/1890s_107page.htm
here are two better pics - clear as day S fragments thoughts? I cant find a match with the filled in S AND the S Fragments
what was your dr measurement that is where you first hsve to start. The study of LS dimes is fairly new. There are new discoveries every couple of months. I've only started studing them about a year ago. Post it over on the LSCC forum and see what they say. It isnt real active over there so you may have to wait a couple of days/weeks
