I recently found a 1989AV "philly" silver dollar among my deceased father's belongings. It is sealed in a coin card and appears to be in excellent condition. Can anyone give me an approximate value? Any info would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum Ben.
Forgive my ignorance, but what is an "AV" coin? Could you be referring to the initials "AW" on the hem of liberty's gown on the only 1989 U.S. coin with a $1 face value - the 1 oz. silver bullion American Eagle? The initials are those of Adolf Weinman who designed the Walking Liberty half dollar and the obverse of the ASE.

If that is what you have, then depending on condition it probably has a retail value somewhere between $10 and $50.
