I've read some of the other threads on this topic, but I still need help with correctly identifying my coin. I have two 1888 IHC's and the dates look slightly different. I just want to know if I have an 1888/7 and don't make a mistake. I can see a dark spot on the rim between the T and E in UNITED when it's in good light. Well, here is an enlarged scan of the date and a better scan of the obverse. I don't see the rim cud it should have, but could this be another variation? Any help is greatly appreciated! Uploaded with ImageShack.us
