I agree with the grade, but the reverse especially looks cleaned to me. Also, it looks like a die imperfection near the eagle's left wing.
That is what i thought too, with the reverse being cleaned. Are you sure no one lese think that it has been cleaned? Thanks
That clash is pretty common on that year of N.O. Morgans. I'd go low to mid AU on this one. There's just a touch of wear that I can see. The toning could be hiding a cleaning, but it's tough to see in the pics.
Well - in my opinion it does not looked clean in the pictures. I am not an expert on this. I would say Xf45 to au50.
I'd grade it Choice XF 45. I would think the TPGs would likely grade it AU 50 or higher. Nice looking coin, BTW...Mike
p.s. I see no signs of dipping or cleaning. From the photos it looks like a nice, original, thickly skinned Morgan to me. If I were going to buy an XF Morgan, this is EXACTLY the type coin I would be looking for.
There isnt that much wear on the breast or the cotton. def in the AUs Ive seen more wear on XFs. Good for you.
